Q Week 1 Scavenger Hunt The purpose of this assignment is to help students become more adept at navigating Canvas for this course. Since all lectures, media clips, discussions, and assignments will be accessed directly through Canvas, it is very important for students to familiarize themselves with how this course is set up on Canvas. Students should complete this worksheet, and submit it on a Microsoft Word document through the Turnitin link for “Week 1 Scavenger Hunt” located under this Week 1: Assignments. Please complete the following steps: 1. Click on the “Syllabus” tab located on the left-hand side of the navigation panel. Once there, scroll to the Course Outline until you find a topic that really interests you. Each weekly topic is correlated to specified chapter readings in your e-Text which will provide a comprehensive overview of the topic. Select one topic from the weekly Course Outline. a. What topic did you select? b. What are your initial thoughts or questions about the topic? c. Have you gained knowledge on this topic from a previous class and if so, what key points stand out to you regarding this topic? 2. Click on Modules and scroll down Course Information to review each of the following tabs: Academic Integrity Policy, and Discussion Rubric. Click on the Discussion located on the left-hand side of your course navigation page. During Week 1 of the course, students were asked to post an introductory comment, introducing themselves to the professor and to the rest of the class. Please click on any of the students’ introductory postings (other than your own), and reply to one student's posting. a. Which student did you reply to? b. Were you able to successfully reply to each of their postings? 5. Finally, click on the Required Resources folder for Week 1 located under the Course Material tab. Watch one of the videos.
